Why Venetian Blinds?


A versatile option with two methods of control – the thin horizontal slats of Venetian blinds can be tilted using a using an unobtrusive wand as well as raised and lowered by cord. This means you can raise them fully to let in as much light as possible, lower them completely at night, or subtly adjust the slats for complete control over light levels.

Light and slim in profile, Venetian blinds are durable and affordable, and are a smart option for smaller windows and doors with not much space to fit.  Because of these factors, Venetian blinds are popular in kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms, office areas and sunrooms.

Perfect Vit Venetian Blinds are a fabulous way to fit the blinds to your window. They come within an aluminium frame, available in various colours to compliment your window. This frame then clips directly onto the window frame underneath the rubber beading. A ‘No drilling’ hassle free way to fit the blinds.

Neat Fit Venetian Blinds

Neat Fit Venetian Blinds are another option when choosing venetian blinds. This blind style, like the perfect fit, also clip directly onto the window and sit flush to the glass. These blinds don’t come in framework though, they have a header and footer rail that clip under the glass. These blinds provide a tidy finish & they are fitted to the windows with ease, completely hassle free. Very popular in conservatories and patio doors.

What are the different finishes?

Venetian blinds are available in a wide range of different colours from elegant creams which would work beautifully with wooden tones in the home or stylish, cool greys to bold and bright colours which can add a pop of colour to any space.

What are the different slat widths?

Our Venetian blinds are made with horizontal aluminium slats, these slats are available in a variety of different widths, like 15mm, 35mm and 50mm with the 25mm size as the most popular, therefore having the biggest range of coloured slats in this size.

Our slats can come with a gloss finish or a matt colour, we also have some that are designed to look like wooden slats with a grained pattern and finish.

When selecting slat size, it’s worth noting that the wider the slat, the more light is allowed into the room when tilting the blind.  So, keep this in mind when choosing a Venetian for a room where natural light is minimal.

 

Where can Venetian blinds be fitted?


Due to the versatile and hardwearing properties Venetian blinds they lend themselves well to use within the workplace and we regularly provide made to measure blinds for offices, factories, shops or cafés. 

Venetian blinds are also great for controlling the amount of light that comes into a room using the tilt function of the blind slats, and as such are great for rooms that are overlooked by a busy road or building and require optimal privacy control. 

The curved nature of the slats, when lowered and closed reflects light back out of the room, perfect for keeping a bedroom cool in those hot summer nights!
